Private Dining NYC December Availability: Dates Open Now

Harriet Vance · October 22, 2026 · 8 min read

Private dining NYC December availability as of Oct 22, 2026: the dinner dates Gramercy Tavern, Ci Siamo and Rezdôra list, the weekday pattern and minimums.

As of October 22, 2026, three of the seven restaurants checked for this guide publish December private dining availability as a list of open dinner dates: Gramercy Tavern prints five, Ci Siamo twelve and Rezdôra eighteen. Union Square Cafe prints no list, so a December room there starts with an inquiry rather than a calendar.

Dates, prices and policies below come from each restaurant’s own website and event kit, checked in October 2026. The date lists were read on October 22, 2026 from the Private Dining pages of Gramercy Tavern and Ci Siamo and the Private Events page of Rezdôra. Gramercy Tavern and Ci Siamo call theirs “current dinner availability,” so read all three as a snapshot: use this guide for the pattern and each page for the final word on a date.

Which NYC restaurants have private dining available in December?

Four of the seven restaurants checked publish dated private-room dinners or a December price. The table shows what each printed on October 22, 2026.

Restaurant Address Best for Dinner dates listed, Oct to Dec December dinner minimum (event kit)
Gramercy Tavern 42 E 20th St Up to 20 guests, one-table room 12 (5 in December) $6,000
Ci Siamo 440 W 33rd St, Suite 100 Up to 50 seated or 75 standing 21 (12 in December) $11,500 Mon to Sat; $3,000 Sun
Rezdôra 27 E 20th St No capacity on its page 34 (18 in December) None on its page
Union Square Cafe 101 E 19th St 10 in the Alcove; up to 40 in the Park & Irving Room No list printed $7,500 Mon to Sat; $3,000 Sun (Park & Irving)

Inclusion rule: a restaurant is compared only if its own page or event kit publishes open dates or a December minimum. L’Artusi, L’Amico and Massara print an inquiry route and no date list on their private-event pages, so they are the next emails to send if none of these dates fits.

Which dates does each restaurant list as of October 22, 2026?

Best for a 20-guest room: Gramercy Tavern

Gramercy Tavern, at 42 E 20th St, says its Private Dining Room can seat up to 20 guests for lunch and dinner daily, with a single table as the centerpiece. Its Private Dining page says current dinner availability for October, November and December is limited to:

  • October: Mon Oct 26
  • November: Fri Nov 6, Sun Nov 8, Sun Nov 22, Mon Nov 23, Tue Nov 24, Sun Nov 29
  • December: Tue Dec 22, Wed Dec 23, Sat Dec 26, Sun Dec 27, Wed Dec 30

Lunches and future dinner dates go to the restaurant’s team. Inquiries are first come, first served, and no reservation is confirmed without a valid credit card and a signed contract to hold the room.

Best for 50 seated or 75 standing: Ci Siamo

Ci Siamo, at 440 W 33rd St, Suite 100, lists a Private Dining Room for up to 50 seated or 75 standing. Its Private Dining page limits current dinner availability to these 21 dates and sends lunches and future dinner dates to the team:

  • October: Fri Oct 23, Sun Oct 25
  • November: Sun Nov 15, Tue Nov 24, Wed Nov 25, Fri Nov 27, Sat Nov 28, Sun Nov 29, Mon Nov 30
  • December: Sun Dec 6, Sat Dec 12, Sun Dec 13, Sun Dec 20, Mon Dec 21, Wed Dec 23, Thu Dec 24, Sun Dec 27, Mon Dec 28, Tue Dec 29, Wed Dec 30, Thu Dec 31

Best for the longest list, with no room details: Rezdôra

Rezdôra, at 27 E 20th St, prints its available dinner dates on the Private Events page as ranges, without weekdays:

  • October: 24-25
  • November: 7-8, 14-16, 20-25, 28-30
  • December: 6-7, 11-14, 18-23, 26-31

Lunch parties and general questions go to its inquiry form, and the page prints no capacity, minimum or deposit.

Best for a December price with no calendar: Union Square Cafe

Union Square Cafe, at 101 E 19th St, lists the Alcove for up to 10 seated, the Park & Irving Room for up to 40 seated or 45 standing, and a full buyout for up to 100 seated or 200 standing. Its page asks for an event inquiry and prints no open-date list; its event kit publishes the minimums below.

Which nights of the week are private rooms open in December?

Counted as printed on October 22, 2026, the three lists hold 35 December entries: 9 Sundays, 6 Mondays, 6 Wednesdays, 5 Saturdays, 4 Tuesdays, 3 Thursdays and 2 Fridays. Rezdôra prints no weekdays, so its weekdays come from the 2026 calendar, and each day inside a printed range counts as one date.

  • Fridays are the rarest night on these lists. The only December Fridays on any list are Rezdôra’s December 11 and 18; the 4th and the 25th appear on no list.
  • The lists overlap. All five of Gramercy Tavern’s December dates also appear on Rezdôra’s list, as do 11 of Ci Siamo’s 12. December 23, 27 and 30 are on all three.
  • Most of the month is not listed. Together the lists cover 19 of December’s 31 dates; the other 12 are December 1 to 5, 8 to 10, 15 to 17 and 25.

Gramercy Tavern and Ci Siamo word their pages as dinner availability “limited to” the dates shown, so a missing date calls for a question to the restaurant, not a guess.

What is the December minimum spend at these rooms?

The three event kits charge no room fee and set a food and beverage minimum instead, with gratuity and 8.875% New York State sales tax on top. December dinner minimums as of October 22, 2026:

  • Gramercy Tavern, Private Dining Room: $6,000, against $4,500 from January to November, one-third more.
  • Ci Siamo, Private Dining Room: $11,500 Monday to Saturday, against $8,500 from January to November, about 35 percent more. Sunday dinner is $3,000 all year.
  • Union Square Cafe, Park & Irving Room: $7,500 Monday to Saturday, against $5,000 from January to November, 50 percent more. Sunday dinner is $3,000 all year. The Alcove’s dinner minimum is $2,000 in December, against $1,500.
  • Rezdôra: no figure is published.

Sunday is the pricing outlier. Four of Ci Siamo’s 12 December dates are Sundays, which its kit prices at $3,000, about a quarter of the $11,500 that applies to the other eight. Gramercy Tavern’s kit prints one December dinner figure with no Sunday rate. The post on why December costs more at NYC private rooms explains the step-up.

All three kits ask a deposit of 50% of the minimum, fully refundable for cancellations more than 28 days before the event. Confirm every figure with the events coordinator.

Can you book a private dining room for Thanksgiving week?

As of October 22, 2026, and taking Thanksgiving week as Sunday, November 22 through Sunday, November 29, the lists show 4 dates at Gramercy Tavern, 5 at Ci Siamo and 6 at Rezdôra. Thanksgiving Day itself, Thursday, November 26 on the federal holiday schedule, is on none of them. Tuesday, November 24 and Sunday, November 29 appear on all three lists; Friday, November 27 is Ci Siamo’s alone.

Is a private dining room available on New Year’s Eve in NYC?

Two lists include Thursday, December 31 as of October 22, 2026: Ci Siamo’s and Rezdôra’s, inside its 26-31 range. Gramercy Tavern’s last December date is Wednesday, December 30. Ci Siamo also lists Thursday, December 24, the only Christmas Eve date on any list. Its holidays page separately lists à la carte restaurant service on both nights, 11:30am to 9:00pm on Christmas Eve and 4:30pm to 10:00pm with a live DJ on New Year’s Eve, while its private-dining kit prints no terms for either night. Ask whether the room’s menu, minimum and hours change.

What if a date on these lists has changed?

The lists belong to the restaurants, so rely on the structure here more than the dates. Compare your date with what the restaurant’s page prints that day, and treat a listed date as something to ask about, not as held: the kits at Gramercy Tavern, Ci Siamo and Union Square Cafe each say a reservation is guaranteed once the restaurant confirms the deposit. Then ask for the minimum on your exact date and offer two or three dates in order of preference.

How early to book a holiday party room sets out the timeline. A seated party of more than 50 outgrows both the Gramercy Tavern and Ci Siamo rooms, and their lists cover the private dining room, not a buyout; what a restaurant buyout means and who offers one covers that format. For a birthday host, The Birthday Table’s December birthday dinner in NYC covers Union Square Cafe’s Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve set menus for small parties.
